Nearly every Mohr student has, at one point, come out to help us grow our tomatoes, broccoli, peppers, beautiful tulips, and Mohr :). Please support your child and donate $20 for the Mohr Garden Committee to continue teaching the basic skills of horticulture (such as preparing the soil, planting, weeding, fertilizing and composting) as well as offer bi-weekly educational, garden-related arts and crafts projects during the lunch hour. A photo gallery of the various activities can be viewed here
The Committee is run by a group of dedicated parent volunteers and plans to add permanent work stations, a sanctuary, as well as various plants and a mural to better define the space and bring our garden facilities on par with other elementary schools in the district. The improvements have been approved by school and district leadership and require $4,000 in funding beyond existing PTA funding and corporate donations. With your support, we can realize this exciting plan to expand our school’s amazing outdoor learning space.
If you have any questions or if you would like to join our group of volunteers, please contact Hellen Tam (firstname.lastname@example.org) or sign up through the volunteer page on this website.
